Niven joined Hilco Real Estate in 2023 as a senior vice president specializing in the hotel and hospitality sector, bringing more than 20 years of focused expertise to the firm.
He began his real estate career following graduation from high school with an internship at Grubb & Ellis. Following his graduation from University of South Florida, he joined Marcus & Millichap full time where he was quickly promoted to senior associate then partner shortly thereafter, continuously ranking among the top performers nationally for hotel brokerage. In 2017, Niven, along with the rest of his hospitality team, transitioned to Avison Young, where he acted as senior hotel advisor for six years until moving to HRE.
Niven is a member and former Florida ambassador for the Asian American Hotel Owners Association (AAHOA) as well as a member of 13 Ugly Men, a Tampa non-profit organization, helping organize fundraising events for local, children-focused charities and those that fight domestic abuse. In his free time, Niven enjoys spending time with his family as well as his philanthropic work.
